Miracles Happen Every Day

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." ~Albert Einstein

I encouraged my children to look for miracles because I believe they happen every day. Years ago, my four-year-old son Spencer asked if he could have a glass of apple juice. I said no. He opened the refrigerator and proclaimed, "It's a miracle! I asked for apple juice; you said no, and we don't have any!"

Numerous miracles happened this year. Combined, our son, nieces, and nephews brought six new babies into the world. Babies are little bundles of hope that the world will continue and that we will get more chances to learn, grow, and do better. Like stars in the sky, babies twinkle, sparkle and shine and keep us awake and alive with their presence. They connect us with wonder, hope, possibilities, and joy. And isn't that what Christmas is all about? To open our hearts, to stay curious, and to look for miracles. So here's to seeing the miracles, magic, and wonderment of our daily lives and doing things that make us feel alive—wishing you and your family a healthy, safe, and delightful Holiday!
