Christmas Magic: The Power of Positive Attitude

Years ago, we all woke up with stomach flu on Christmas Eve. The bug skipped my 7-year-old son Spencer, who quickly announced he planned to spend the holiday at his grandparents' house, two hours away. I asked him how he planned to get there. He said he would figure it out, and he did. He called his cousin Betsy, and she gladly gave him a ride. I knew from that moment that with that "I-can-do-anything" attitude, this kid was going places!

This attitude—this unwavering belief that anything is possible—captures the true spirit of Christmas. The holidays are when we reflect on the power of optimism, hope, and determination. Spencer's resolve reminded me that attitude can be a force of magic. The magic of Christmas is not in the material things but in how we approach life with an open heart and a positive attitude. Christmas embodies this magic, where the impossible seems possible, where kindness, love, and joy can transform any situation, making Christmas a time of wonder and joy for all who embrace it, primarily when driven by love and connection.
